I got my truck running, but now more problems. The truck runs good at first, but the first time it returns to idle, it runs like crap, as though it is running on 3 cylinders. The brakes also feel as though there is no booster.Also, when I try to run codes on the ecu, it just continuous blinks with no delay between the flashes. PLEASE HELP.

Be sure your idle screw is set properly. If the screw is turned all the way in then that is probably your problem. Try creating a vacuum leak to see if what the engine wants is just more metered air. If the idle stabilizes then maybe the idle air bypass is clogged and when the cold start idle bypass closes then there might be very little air getting into the engine. If the CEL flashes continuously then that means there are no DTCs present.

 

I thought that there was suppoed to be a pause between flashes, mine just flashes 1 flash directly after the first. Also, my O/D off light is flashing. How do I pull codes on the tranny? Thanks in advance for help.
