More Power Without losing Mileage?????
Hey guys, I think I've hit a wall as far as power goes.
I want a little more grunt, but I want to keep or improve my 20 MPG efficiency.
Here's where I'm at:
1989 22re 180,000miles 5spd
K&N Gen II
Thorley tri-y header
Free Flow Cat
Flowmaster 40
2.25" Piping
My truck is getting a new lift, and in the process they are changing my fuel filter, hopefully that helps.
My ideas to add power without efficiency loss are:
1. Hotter Coil
2. Ignition system
3. Hotter plugs
4. Electric fan
Any thoughts on these mods?
Any other ideas?
Thanks -MR.T

Even with a new fan you should be able to do this for under a couple hundred bucks.
