MOOG Coil Springs

Does anyone have any facts/opinons on MOOG Coil Springs? I never heard of them and were curious to know how are they in comparison to Downey? The set is available for $85 compared to Downeys which is $190. I believe I get what I paid for and there might be a reason why I never heard of them. Just want to confirm it. Thanks!

are they lift springs or what? MOOG is a highly respected name in replacement parts, normally balljoints, tie rod ends kinda situation...

in my years as a mechanic, i knew their name for suspension parts, but if they are the same company, have never heard of their use of coil springs.....

ive read about them before just not sure fif from this forum but they are like generic coil spring that works like the stock spring of any vehicle and that you just need cross reference on them depending on what you need e.g. HD type etc... you might want to give it a try and your effort will be a first on this forum (im guessing) and surely be remembered!

Its a shame I used to work at a garage that had great employee deals on parts. When I made the rear discs for my stang I just ordered tons of parts and returned the ones that wouldnt work. You'd almost have to do that to find a good spring if they make a suitable one.

you were right. the moog coil springs are that of generic coil springs. and because they are a excellent brand name for auto parts they are excellent replacements for the everyday driver. not so much for the extra load, hauling and offroading I will entail...therefore I ordered the downey hd's today...CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE AND FEEL THE DIFFERENCE.
