Might buy a Tacoma

Well I got screwed on the deal for a 4Runner and have now found a 2001 Tacoma(2.4l with the 5-speed), does anyone have any experience with them or have driven one on a trip? It has 64,000 miles and the dealership is asking 8,900 and I am pretty sure that I can talk them down a bit more.

Those "mini-tacos" are perfect for the SoCal weather since there's no snow to be worried about, really. They're also catered to the small business group and that engine/transmission combo is very reliable from what I've heard.
