measurements!
I need some measurements. I am wanting to trade my 1st gen for a 2nd gen. But I am having a custom roof rack made for my truck. I need to have these new measurements so he can change the brackets to a 2nd gen (if I decide to get it).
I just need the front o back length of the roof, from where the roof curves into the windshield. and the area between the front windshield to the sunroof.
Then I need the back width of the truck from the curved edge of the truck to the other curved edge. Then the same for the front.
The guy is making special brackets to allow the rack to carry more weight without stressing the roof. And he is allowing for space for the sunroof.
In other words I realy want the rack, and not to lose the money I already have in it.
Thanks for your help!

OK, you may not want to go past the little water channel sunk into the roof plane. The measurement from the outside of factory roof rail to outside of factory roof rail is 37 1/2" across both front and rear. From the rack to the rain channel on each side is about 3/8" on each side. The overall length of the mostly flat area is about 88 1/2". Too dark for pics to clarify - I'll try to shoot some pics tomorrow.
