Question Maintenance Questions

How hard is it to flush the coolant out of a '02 4Runner? I've got almost 20K on my rig. The manual recommends it be changed at 15K. But I was wondering what other things I needed to do to keep my rig in tip top shape? When do I flush my transmission fluid?

Also how hard is it to change the brake pads on the 4Runners? All I know how to do is change the oil. I'm only good with computers

Radiator Drain and Fill is very simple. When I did mine I un did the petcock on the radiator and let all the fluid drain out. Tighten the petcock and add exactly 1 gallon distilled water and 1 gallon toyota red long life coolant. I believe this gets out 80% of the old fluid and for me that is fine. I will change it every 2 years.

Tranny Flush I did at around 10K. Not cause it needed it but to change over to synthetic. I plan on changing flushing it at approx. 35k intervals. Check my synthetic page for more details...
