Awesome Speedy!!! All the hard work and careful planning paid off! Great work and your guide is the best i've seen if someone is willing to spend the time and money you did to your rig.

Congrats

Correct. You just tap the brakes to get the tires spinning.

In an auto that is sometime the only way to get the rears spinning since you can't dump the clutch. Hold the brake in just right and press the gas to the floor. Even an NA will do it if done right.
NA my truck wouldn't even THINK about spinning a wheel. I took video of that as well just in case I decided to use it later.

It depends on the tires and road. Is it easy? no but it can be done, just not at will.

In a parking lot near me it has the pavement with rocks imbedded into tab. with my dry rotted tires it will spin at will there but on my street with asphalt it won't think about it.

Speedy, nice vid! Definitely has a touch of top gear flare to it

I could watch that burn out clip all day. That's not something I typically associate w/ 4Runners.

Again, nice work!

Me too. I find myself watching some episodes over and over.

Now all you need to do is add some commentary about your 4Runner to the video (similar to how Jeremy does in the vehicles he showcases) and you'll be right up there w/ Top Gear.

Curious - you've decided you don't need a valvebody upgrade, even with the 2.2" pulley?

Do you think you'd have to drive somewhat conservatively with the stock valvebody, or is it really not a big deal? I'm just trying to get a handle on how much I'd realistically have to spend to supercharge my 4Runner, and I had considered the VB upgrade somewhat necessary.

There's a huge thread I posted on this over on CT. I had a highly reputable tranny shop check out my 4Runner after all the upgrades. The tech took it for a drive with me riding shotgun and said the shifts were very crisp.

Also, if you really want to do an upgrade, save the money on a full VB upgrade which most aren't happy with (I get lots of e-mails on that) and do the shims as listed in this post:
