Link to TSBs?

Anyone got a link for Toyota service bulletins. Sorry if this is located somewhere on this site but just can't seem to locate. Thanks

Autozone.com also has TSB's, though it's just a link to Alldata.com. Autozone is a bonus in that it has the online equivalent of a chiltons.

This could be a good sticky! no?

I think I'm really going to like this message board. Great information and none of the pre-pubescent antics!

Link is here in the Community section, then "YotaTech on the web", a page with some links that I have added over the past few years.

There's a nice mix on here really, and while people can get touchy, it's pretty civil. I enjoy the mix of kids and old timers, and the various ideas of what should be and what should be left out... I've even changed a bit of my thinking (being an old timer and 20 year veteran Toyota 4x4 owner myself.)

Dumb question:
are TSBs like recalls, in that Toyota will pay for the service they require?

TSB's are not the same as recalls. An example of a TSB would be:

BO01196 DEC 96 Interior - Carpet Cleaning Precautions

Which would contain information about carpet cleaning.

TSBs are Technical Service Bulletins - "How To"s

Recalls are Federally mandated Safety Issues that the manufacturer has indicated must be done to correct a potential safety defect (or in rare cases to voluntarily correct a known chronic non-safety-related defect, the 3.0 head gasket is one such) and they are required by law to do them at no charge to the consumer.

Recalls are serious stuff, TSBs are mostly just helpful info so the dealer service guys have the latest information when you come in for service.

For example, for the 1990 4x4 V6 Toyota Truck there are 2 recalls, and 138 TSBs.
