Try these light bars from truckperformance.com When I had my old Blazer I was considering this set up since it didnt have the factory rails for a roof rack, but I sold it before I really did anything major to it.

I recently added 2 pairs of Hella 500's to my stock roof rack, and its actually not too complicated. I went to Lowe's and bought some U-Bolts, they should come with the bolt, a metal plate, and 2 nuts. the easiest way to do it is to put the U bolt under the rack and have it going up, drill a hole in the middle of the plate so you have a place to mount the light, and then tighten the nust down. The wiring is a little bit messy, I ran it through the drivers side passenger door jam, but i will try to get pics of my setup on soon.

[QUOTE=bamachem]if you put lights up top, the best way to mount them is to a basket.

i agree w/bamachem about branchs/limbs. i used to have 4 lights on my basket rack, until one found a hidden rope hanging from a branch and ripped it right off so now it only has three and they look better on the (slightly bent) basket w/o a seperate support. still have 2 on the grill gaurd .
for the wiring i ran the wires between the cab and bed/shell then underneath the cab to the inside. a couple of spots of black silicone hides the wires along the seal pretty good. i see so many that are not connected at all

that's brian's 00 that he sold: http://www.wabfab.org/photos/se4rj1/se4rj1.htm
those lights were never hooked up because of the wiring issues w/ having them up top.
