Lights on a Stock front bumper
I'm thinking about putting some Hella Lights on the bumper of my 01. I searched but I got a lot of aftermarket bumpers with lights. So if anyone has pics of Stock bumper with lights up front, or what other set ups you used to put lights in front of the grill I'd like to see them
TIA

Check out my avatar. I can send you detailed pics if you need.
3 Hella 500s - pencil beam. Very sufficient, very bright. I've had zero engine temp issues with this. They are very sturdy and do not move, wiggle even on Michigan roads.

Look at the pics in the link of my profile. I have two Hella Black Magics up front. VERY bright, pretty easy installation and sturdy. I can give you more details if needed

The lights worked awsome, lots of space on the 99+ bumpers, no shaking.

this is what i did. i know you wanted bumper pictures but this is a little different. they worked pretty kick ass too, i was suprised because of the the spots that the grille covers. i think a billet grille is needed though! oh the bottom pics get bigger.

Yes I'd like to see a pic of the bumper and where the mounts go into or just a bigger pic, do you run all three on one switch?

it needs to be blasted and repainted, but at this point (pic was taken winter 05/06) it is too rusty too care (... MI rust sucks). Either way it is pretty sturdy, I don't get any wobble in the lights, welded all from 3/4 square tube?, pretty basic i guess

[always off-topic for me]
definately... where are you located... ? i remember someone else was close(er) to flint (im on the west coast of MI right now) and will be in flint in a week or two... anyway, "the Mounds" outside flint is a possibility...
[maybe veering towards an eventual on-topic convo, but prolly not]

Hella 4000 Eurobeams (100 watt each). The stock bumper is not up to this task, so I formed 1/4" steel struts that tie the lamp mount to the frame head. Rock solid.

The 4000s are very heavy lamps and the bumper is extremely thin steel. The light would bounce all over the place on a normal road. Two days after installing the lights, they were anchored for good.
Four years later - same bulbs and no issues.

Looks really nice. You should add your pic(s) to the other thread.
