lifted the runner

i ordered the OME 882/891 coils and OME soft shocks from Toytec and couldnt be more satisfied. The ride is amazing compared to what other people and myself were skeptical about. I figured it might ride a little stiff because i didnt have a lot of weight on the front or rear but it rides better than stock. It lifted my 99 about 2.5" all around.. so on to the pics

the system = 2 12" Kicker CVR in seperate boxes (to move around easier), interfire amplifier, clarion head unit -- all installed myself

running board stay on for now until bigger wheels and tires. probably going with 16x8 wheels and 285/75 mickey thompson baja atz radial tires

let me know what you think!!

This kinda helps me in deciding my lift. It actually doesnt look too over the top. What you pay, a little over 700? We both have the same rides..

im guessing this is more of a street runner so maybe this wouldnt suit u but if it were mine id take those running boards off to show that its lifted.

yeah it was about that much. i didnt see the need in paying extra for the top plate spacer when i could just get the 882 spring

i didnt get to take any before pics. sucks, i know. my friend had my camera but i got it back after i put the lift on ha. the 1" diff drop helped it out a bit. its not too bad of an angle. the fins really arent touching and no slinging grease yet so i think it will be fine for the moderate offroading i do

its a cheapo one i ordered from ebay. i think through hunter truck accesories. i'm gonna put some KC lights on it later. i got it for about $150 shipped. its just a simple bolt on.. i know some people buy the westin for the tacoma and modify it for the runner but that was too much money to pay for a light bar for me

Yea you did have it in there LOL. I'm alseep at the keyboard tonight (working too many 12hr shifts). The camera maybe making them look a little worse but I can clearly see the bellow ridges rubbing on the bellow ridges which will cause tearing. When I looking into putting OME springs on my runner I was told that the 882s were only for 4runners/tacos with a bumper/winch on them because it would cause the problem your having right now.

yeah but i couldnt justify buying the top plate spacers with the 881's that would have put the same lift as these 882's. i'm not saying that they arent going to tear but cv's are a little tougher than what everyone gives them credit for. i ran a 3" lift on my tacoma with NO diff drop and only had to replace one cv which was worn anyways. and i wheeled the piss out of it
