ok i lifted my brothers 00 4runner today using cornfeds 2.5" spacers. we got it done start to finish in 4 hours!! something is wrong with the rear though, it makes a clunking sound whenever going over bumps!!! all i did was remove the bump stop in the rear and put the spacers on, is there suppose to be a bushing or what?! thanks guys (and girls)

Did you put the cone back on with the spring and spacer?

I get the same sound, try hitting your rear coils with you palms and see if you get that sound. I did and found that my right, rear coil is clanking on top with the seat. I to removed my rear bump stop and plan on putting it back or put a coil isolator pad.

I just put in a Revtek lift and my cone fit back w/o a problem. At first though, it seemed like it wouldn't fit but that's b/c I put in on backwards. Once I flipped the cone, it fit w/o a problem. Are you sure that it wouldn't go back? I don't know about Cornfed spacers but the Revtek ones were supposedly specifically designed to work with stock parts.

Noticed I didn't answer your question. I have a '99 and I don't have any noises in the rear from my lift.

DId you check the rear shock mounts? Especially the top. If they are not tight enough it might clunk as well.

I've got to agree with you on this one....accessing the bolt to the rear top shock mounts have got to be the most agrivating thing. It makes it allot easier if you cut two 1" parallel lines in the wheel well and bend it out...which allows you to get a socket wrench in there to lock the bolt, then with your hands just twist the shock to tighten or loosen it. Thats what a buddy and I eventualy found to work best, then once your done bend the rubber/metal wheel well section back in place.

Anyways, i'd check on those mounts, they might be loose, causing the clunking noise.

No, I`m spacerless in the rear. I`m using OME 906 coils and before that I had NWOF coils with the stock cones and they still made the same sound. I dunno, for me, if putting the cones will stop my sound. I thinke coil spring isolators might help.
