i am looking into purchasing a suspension lift for my 93 runner. the one i was looking at is the procomp stage 1 lift (4 inches). could anyone give me any feed back about this lift, or any other lift for that matter, that would work on my 93. thanks

If your goal is just to fit bigger tires it is a decent package. If you want to gain wheel travel you need a straight front axle from an '84 or '85 4runner or truck. None of the IFS lifts (pro comp, superlift, trailmaster) will give you any clearance between the front tires, they lower your front diff, crossmember, spindles and everything to stock heights from the ground. You will have the same LAME 6-7 inches of front suspension travel. Longer brake lines may be needed. Longer shocks are definatly needed. All you really gain is transfer case clearance (breakover angle) and clearance for tires. You need to get lower diff gears if you want bigger tires to correct your spedometer and engine RPMs.

I cannot comment on the rear, coil spring lift for 2nd generation 4Runners. I have only seen the truck version of the pro comp stage 1 kit. I'm guessing its nothing more than spacers that go on top of your stock coil springs. I'm not sure if it comes with a panhard drop bracket. If not you need to legnthen the panhard rod or have a bracket made so that your rear axle dosen't stick out to the right side, making it impossible to set the alignment.

There is a lot of things to consider when lifting a truck. Just bolting on a mail order kit will cause problems down the road.
