Where's the best (cheapest) place to find OME components? Also, what did the HD springs do to your ride quality?

CV problems w/ ADD, >2.5" lifts

Just a quick note. As an owner of a 98 4-runner, I recently found out while doing my homework on lift kits myself that you have to be careful about getting much more than 2.5" of lift with 96 and newer 4-runners. With ADD, the CV's are always turning, and as you lift the vehicle you begin to push the CV joints to their max angle (22 degrees, I think read someplace...). At any rate, the CV boots will become damaged relatively quickly with these high lifts. This can be avoided by switching over to manual hubs, which for 96 and newer vehicles requires a kit that costs about 900 bucks from Off-Road Sports I think (the conversion to manual hubs for older 4-runners was a straightforward and not-too-expensive procedure). for a boatload of info about suspensions. At any rate, from what I understand, you're safe by going with 2.5", doesn't hurt the CV's. Someone else more knowledgeable than me may comment on this further.

I wouldn't get OME's the fronts don't lift enough everyone has to add spacers too. Maybe some cornbred front spacers stock springs and rear ome springs and shocks. Thats what I would do if I had the money and was still going to lift. I would get the Revtek cause it's basically just looks, but once again i've decided I can't afford gas for 285;s at this moment.
