BIG BIG difference between 1990-1995 and 1996-current 4Runners. Suspension parts ARE NOT interchangeable between these years. Please tell us what year truck YOU have so we can be of better assistance. And how much lift are you looking to get? What type of driving do you do with the truck?

Good response Adam!

Retardriot, there are so many choices out there that we really need to know the specifics of your vehicle, or the vehicle you are inquiring about.

Alright well from 1996 to present you have IFS which offers several lift possiblities. For an economical solution people use 3" RevTek spacer lifts, OME springs and struts, cornbred spacers, Downey Rear Coils those types of products. For those you are looking between $350.00 and $550.00

If you want something better, however, more expensive you can go with the setup that I am waiting for which is Downey Rear Coils with Bilsteins and Sway-A-Way adjustable Coil Overs up front. For that setup you are looking around a grand. There is a group buy for the Sway-A-Way coil overs, if you were to get with me immediately I could add your order. My personl opinion is you do not need to go more that 2.5" to 3" of lift. As far as the previous to 1996 Runners, you have torsion bars, lift is achieved up front by cranking down on the bars...

Anyhow, hope that kinda helps.

All of the lifts for 1990-1995 cost around the same some are better then other. But there is nothing over a 4" lift. so if you want tires bigger then 33 like i do you will have to go SAS. I have a Pro comp Stage II on the wifes runner wth 33X12.50 and she loves the way it handels. it not too bad ofroad eather

That question cannot be answered...we all have different runners, and if you want my opinion....it is not the rig...it is the driver!!!

This is my personal opion but 1990+ ruuner all wheel about the same. I have a stock runner that I have taken a lot of place just on the skill of driving alone. Personal if you are going to do any kinda of hardcore wheeling save yourself the trouble and money and get like an 85' Which I feel is the best over all off-road runner. but that just how I feel. I sure that other may feel diffent.
