shiftless: no the car that hit me (i have now learned it was a nissan 200sx -not an accord) was totalled. the 2 cars who drove away are the ones who caused it, but did not make contact with anyone from what ive heard. Yeah the inside of my truck looks like a loose pile of interior pieces..the passenger sear it turned laterally 90 degrees...its a mess..

Sweet Jesus!! Dude -- you walked away from that?! Amazing. I had two friends die in a car accident several years ago who got t-boned in a similar fashion. Like your 4Runner, the passenger side frame was nearly in the middle of the vehicle. You are one charmed individual to be among the living right now. A passenger surely would have died.

Clearly someone was watching over me that night...I dont remember rolling or HOW i got out of the truck but I know that the instant that it stopped I was out of it and walking around asking if someone got the liscense plate of those two cars...This of course occured after I got done yelling and swearing about my truck upon seeing it flipped over...

Like you, I got out and started swearing about my wrecked car and then when the adrenaline died down a little the pain set in and I was flat out on the sidewalk. It was a very bad time, especially dealing with the insurance company...but these days I just say: "a lady was trying to run a red light - but I stopped her", and I can almost laugh looking back.
Life goes on, and fortunately it includes you. Make sure you get checked out regularly for any injuries that haven't surfaced yet, and definitely don't do this with a "nice guy" attitude. You need to take the best care of you and don't let any insurance company take advantage of you. You deserve treatment if needed, so don't forego that. Also: don't sign any "release" papers until you are 100%. They tried to get me to sign a medical liability release within a week...and that's illegal to force you to sign it.
best wishes to you...you are definitely being watched over!

Glad to hear you are OK. Just think of how much fun you can have cruising for a new 4Runner and maybe that'll help some ease some of the pain involved
I got my first truck when I was 16, had it 3 weeks, spent the last day I owned it washing, polishing, rubbing, shining, feeling the excitement of ownership and getting hit head on by a drunk right in the middle of town. Somehow it always hurts more when you just put time into it.
As for the two Richard Craniums that were racing, I feel a phrase like "reckless disregard for human life" coming on quickly followed by "now we are moving from the compensatory segment of the trial to the punitive..." I'd go after those jerks cars and bank accounts myself. They wanted an andreline rush let them feel the excitement of losing BIG!
