leaf springs - Downey vs OME?

leaf springs - Downey vs OME?
So my rigs future includes replacement leaf springs to lift the rear 1-2 inches. I was pretty well set on OME when I came across a listing for Downey springs while poking around on parts sites last night. A pair of Downeys for 146 bucks and change vs OME for 202-210 each . I could get this project done alot sooner with the Downey price.
So... anyone have experience with these? If OME is better, is it 3X better? Anyone have experience with both?
Thanks, Mike

I too am in need of new rear leaf springs. I can't help you decide on which one since its my own dilemma as well. I heard great things about Alcan (sp?) out of grand junction CO.
Mine are pretty flat and I had to put on 2" shackles to compensate for the sag. I wonder if new springs with give me a slightly better ride?

Hey Mike
You might want to give Valley Spring a call. Talk to Phill he could rework your spings to get what you want out of them. He might able to save you a couple of buck.I broke a main leaf on one of my old rear spring and they fixed that pack and checked the other for around $150. And they did all the work
