LC Wheels on 3rd gen.
Well, the Easter bunny delivered my Land Cruiser wheels. I plan to have them put on my 1999 4runner this week. The tires will be 285/75/16's BFG All Terrains. (I got a hell of a deal on the tires-couldn't resist!)
Alittle cleaning/polishing and they should turn out pretty good. I'll throw some more pics up as soon as they are mounted. The wheels only cost $120.00 for all 4. The shipping was high at $110.00 from CA. But not bad for $230.00 total. I got 3 center caps that need repainted... I will mess around with them and look for one more. Need lugs too.
Taking off the stockers...

Will my stock lugs on my 3rd generation work with these? I though I had to get a different shape to hold these LC wheels on.... ???
The wheels didn't come with any lugs....but if my stock lugs work thats a bonus!

COOL! Thanks for the heads up !!!
I am going to experiment with my center caps... my goal is to paint them the factory silver the best I can... I will need to find the best paint that matches. Anyone with suggestions ???
I might ride around with them off for alittle while too to see how it looks.
Thanks Matt for the info!!! you just saved me some $$$.

Congrats man! You've joined the elite group of LC/Lexus wheel'd Runners! I tell ya, I get comments every day about these rims...awesome move man!
They look great, I too wanna know what wheel cleaner you used. I have found that all of the ones that I have used SUCK so I just gave up and use a scrub brush and the left over soapy water in the bucket after a wash. Nice work man!

Thanks for the compliments. The wheels originally had alot of brake dust on them and looked alittle ruff on 2 of the 4 wheels. EDIT EDIT EDIT !!! The spray I used is Castrol Superclean wheel cleaner. I called my wife at home and she looked for me. Its in a purple bottle.
I also used a scuff pad that is alittle ruff (almost like steel wool) BUT DON'T USE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOLES, because it will scratch and dull your wheels like no tomorrow.
I sprayed the cleaner on the pad and threw alot of muscle into it...twice. One wheel could probally even take a 3rd cleaning.
Good luck !!!
