Keyless Entry?
This is a long story but here we go..... im 18 looking for a new car we find the car we buy it... i ask the guy if there is keyless entry on it... he says no but he can put one on for 70 bucks(this is a dealership)... so i buy the car without ne keyless entry and just 2 keys... i have it for a day and im in my car and i accidently drop my keys in under the seat and it goes all the way down... so i get out and put the seat up all the way and get under and look for my keys... well while im down there.. i find 2 keyless entry remotes! LUCKY ME.... they work... kinda... listen to this....i dunno what the bottom button does but the top one locks it and unlocks it well.... heres the problem when i try and lock it it sometimes just locks it... or sometimes it beeps once when its lock... when i go to unlock it it either just unlocks and the car lights up or it beeps twice... sometimes it just unarms itself... sometimes it unlocks for no reason its very strange ne one have ne ideas? its got a new battery in it too its a 96 limited

one beep means lock and 2 means unlock...as for auto locking, i know that it auto locks when you close the doors and it's been like 5 or 10 min.....but auto unlocking is wierd...hmm..i've never come upon that situation...also if you unlock and dont open the doors, it will relock after a minute...please explain the situation more carefully...thanks

If you have a 96 Ltd, you probably have the RS3000 alarm. I bought mine from Have_Blue and it sounds like you have the same alarm.
Holden was nice enough to send me the .pdf instructions for the RS3000 install and ops manuals. Download them and take a careful look at the ops manual. That might answer your questions.

There are two files right under "Parent Directory".
Good luck,
Bob
