Hi, just stumbled across this forum doing a search for the Kenwood 5120. I hope its ok I post here even though I have an 06 Tundra AC. I wanted to ask about the stock amp you had to find to install the wiring harness. I know in older tundras the amp is right behind the head unit. So most people just by-pass the amp and plug the wire harness directly into the wire that went into the amp, and your done. But in my case my amp is in the back seat. This might be a dumb question since i dont really understand the wiring, but what did you do to install the wiring harness by the amp? I included a few pictures of what I found behind my head unit and by the amp...

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

That's a weird setup... I guess you would have to do the following:
1) Tie your Kenwood wiring harness from your new deck into the wires behind the dash (you'll have to cut the old connectors off).
2) Disconnect the old amp.
3) Purchase a Toyota wiring harness from a car stereo store or crutchfield.
4) Tie the amp input wires (cut the connector off) to the Toyota wiring harness.
5) Connect the wiring harness to the amps output connectors.

I'm no expert so proceed at your own risk. If you buy the wiring harness from crutchfield they may provide support for connecting your deck.
