K&N's AirCharger®???

K&N's AirCharger® Off-Road & Racing Performance Kits
http://www.martelbrothers.com/custom...tid=KNE63-1076

How much more HP & throttle response would I get by
installing this? I have the K&N filter now.

Is it worth the money?
I think someone else got it installed but I cant find
the thread. Does anyone have photos what it would
look like in the engine bay?

On my 3rd gen, when it was NA the K&N kit was okay. I did notice some improvement in throttle response and low-end power especially in the mountains (+/- 10,000 feet). But when I installed the supercharger, I experienced the same lean conditions that a number of other people have experienced.
I haven't looked under the hood of the 4th gens yet. Can the airbox be modded like the 3rd gens? If so, save yourself a couple hundred dollars and install a deckplate.

Do you all think that the K&N air filter is much better than the stock paper one?

What is the best price that anyone has found for the 2003 v6 K&N air filter?

Truck Performance.com has it for 38.99 plus shipping.

Absolutely!!! I noticed a huge difference when I put it in.
I am looking to this aircharger to just give me more.
I would say if you don't want to spend a lot of money
but want some more performance get the filter.
$38 sounds like a good price. It is also very easy to install.

The filter allows more air to enter the engine. The stock
filter is very restrictive because they dont want a bunch
of crap getting into the engine. So the K&N allows more
air flow plus it keeps all the harmful things out of your engine.

Does that help?

Cool thank you. I just found it interesting that the K&N made an air filter when TRD says that they won't due to the odd triangular shape of the v6. Actually its sucks, TRD is not going to make anything for the v6's.

Well thank you. I think I'll go to my local truck shop and have then match or beat the price to save on shipping.
