Yep, dyno proven by me and Gadget. Stock intake with Elbow removed is the best intake for our engines. Our engines just don't response well to bolt on's. The only way to get more power out of them is to boost them.
Here is a dyno test I did back to back on the dyno and repeated twice because I did not expect the results.
Blue = Stock with elbow removed
Red = "cold air" intake
If you want the feeling of more power and for some reason don't want to boost it you have 2 other options. You can get gears, this will hurt your MPG but it will feel a lot faster. or you can get a high stall converter for the transmission, this will make the power from a stop much nicer.

I am glad I saw this and did not run out and buy the K&N intake system. Have you Dyno tested the Intake Silencer Mod? Also which elbow are you talking about that you removed?
Thanks

no need to test the intake silencer, removing it should not make anymore power and the butt dyno agrees. I only did it for looks and to make checking the transmission easier.
