Just received a set of Bushwacker flares and have a problem.

I just recieved a set of bushwacker extenda-flares from 4-wheelparts, the front pair are glossy (which is what I wanted) the rears are flat black. WTF? The part #'s are:
Fronts: 31017-01
Rears: 31018-01

The numbers on the boxes check out. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Perhaps the people at bushwacker put the wrong flares in the box. Am I missing something? I called 4wheelparts and they are going to check with bushwacker and get back to me tomorrow. Any thoughts?

Dean,
The #'s you provided seem to be a combination of the #'s I provided. According to this site anyway. And wow, what an awful price that place has. I got my set for over $100 less (shipped) with a 20% off coupon at 4wp. Seems a little strange that they would send me a pair of each (glossy and flat). Someone screwed up somewhere. I'm betting it was in the BW factory.

Look on page II.
You have the correct #s, it looks like Bushwacker messed up.

Make them fix it...overnight shipping. Accept nothing less than perfection.

I called bushwacker and they said they've stopped making the glossy flares. It turns out that the glossy fronts sent to me were from old stock. 4wp said they would consider paying for them to be painted (here locally) to match the fronts. Does anybody have any idea of how much it would cost to have the rears painted? And would they be able to match the glossyness of the fronts (they are like a friggin' mirror). I imagine a body shop would be a good place to start.(?) Or I could send the glossys back for flat black all around. Hmmmm... Any thoughts?

Make them send you the whole set flat black...painting fender flares is a waste of good $$$.

Just talked it over with a few friends and we came to the same conclusion. Thanks for the input.

I need to buy a pair of those too so I don't get a ticket for the 33s sticking out of the fenders.

Do you have to drill new holes in the body or do they use the existing hole and screws that hold the chrome trim pieces on?

The Wackers have little dimples in them that are kind of like guide holes.
You place them in place with the help of someone, and then use a drill and go for it.

Mine came with black sheet metal screws.
My bro-inlaw and I had all 4 on within 1.5 hours or so.
Pretty easy to do, but we also took all 4 wheels off.

4wp was more than helpful in resolving this situation. I decided to go with flat flares instead of painting or attempting to track down glossy rears. 4wp scheduled a UPS pick up for the return and the flat fronts were on my doorstep 4 business days later. I am more than happy with thier service. I think I like the look of the flats better anyway.
