Just got mine installed and it sounds pretty interesting. I do wish it had a little deeper tone, but it does sound very cool when you get the RPM's up there. Plus I do notice a very slight increase in power. Tomorrow the cold air intake goes on and I expect a decent change with that. Overall I would say the muffler purchase was a good deal.

Oh...went to a friend of my brother who has a muffler shop and he installed the muffler with a new chrome tip for $45. Nice.

David, maybe you can post some sound clips for us to listen. so we have an idea what it sounds like cause I am also interested in getting one of those. I heard Corey's sound clip samples but they were low quality. It's hard to get the real picture with low quality sound clip.

MSW...sure...not a problem man. Send me a private message and we will arrange to meet somewhere.

FS...I need to record some first. Let me see what I can do.

I also got the new cold air intake and new NGK spark plug cables in and it does ROMP. Sounds mean when I nail it. It also does respond quicker.

I was at the hardware store today where my sister-in-law is manager and had the hood open so I could test a could of nuts on a bolt under the hood and I had some people actually stop and stare at the engine for a few minutes.

The new chrome intake and the blue wiring makes it look very cool. I will get some pics up soon.

D.

I probably wont put it all on until I get my headers and new cam and all those goodies here too... but when I do I will tell what I think about it... hope it all works out good!

trying to re-order this muffler, price is now $67 with no best offer option... He has a 14 inch unit for about $57...what would the difference be? Higher pitch?

That's why I went with the 24"muffler. It sounds real nice.

It is mellow and sounds really good. Just the right amount of rumble.

It wouldn't be ricey, but it might drone a bit.

If you're looking for a true V8 sound go with a Vortex, I've had Chevy guys ask me where they can get my muffler...its bada$$!

Glad you like your Magnaflow, you should look into the stainless steel tips that Magnaflow has, they've got some pretty sweet ones!

i don't want to highjack this thread, but i just thought i would let you all know that there is a member on this board who is part of a company called performance curve. the company is listed on magnaflow's website as being a seller, and they offer good prices. i got a magnaflow muffler for my 4runner and didn't try to haggle pricing. $67 free shipping. he sent it out same day as well. just figured i would post that up in here so should you all feel up to it, you can support the yt member. he has not posted up here about it, so i figured i would start the word of mouth for him. here is the info

Performance Curve

his name is philip.

I just bought a Magnaflow from PP and the list price was $45.99. It's not the shiny one but just the regular muffler. I'm assuming we're all talking about the same one. The description on my receipt says 4"X9" Oval and it's 20 or 22 inches long. One side of the muffler has the inlet in the middle and the outlet on the other side of the muffler is to the side. Since my buddy works there, I paid $35. Are we talking about the same muffler? If so and you live in Socal, you can just swing by PP and save the shipping costs. If it's not the same muffler, ignore this post.

its kinda the same...that one is longer than the one im getting (maybe) and the one that the thread was started over... they come in different sizes, lengths, and in/out locations. Thats still a good price! This ebay seller has all of his listed around $55-$75 but free shipping so its not TOO different.
