thanks for that article!
and yeah im panning on getting rid of those decals. I thought it would be a simple heatgun and peel off, but it left some nasty paperish film behind that is really hard to remove even with a corrosive buffing product. But soon enough i will take the time and get them off.

looks nice! glad you got another toyota. i would put the trim black on and paint it black though like someone else suggested. i probably would have left the brush guard on too to add more black to it since you have the black rims.
other then that it looks 1000x better w/o those decals.

yeah i might paint those if i get my spray gun out. But i dont really like the brushguard, its not all that functional off road and is already tweaked way towards the drivers side from whatever the PO hit

Holy @#$% Header
Well i finally tracked down that exhuast leak, between port 2 and 3 of my manifold...
Had the same problem on my 2.7 4Runner.
LC Engineering header should be on their way soon.

Just got a new manifold
a header was going to dump me further into debt trying to fix this beast.
and now a question on removing the old manifold. If i grind off the bolt heads where the manifold connects to the downpipe, will i have to drill them out or will the manifold slide off once i have the heads off.
So basically, is the top connector of the downpipe threaded?

Lemme know what you think
Mocked up on mine, only problem was the last support got mis-measured and it was lined up to the side of the front shackle, so tommorow its getting angled forward infront of it.

Ive already changed the engine oil and full synthetic seems quieter.

Dude... sick truck. When I was looking into buying my current truck, my friend offered to sell me his 96 4x4 std cab for like 3 grand, but then he told me no. A month later he rolled it. It sat in his yard totaled for a couple weeks, then he scrapped it. I'm still kicking myself for not buying his engine...
What were the trims on early tacos? I know there was an LX and an SX, and SR5 was an option that could be had with LX, or something like that...

Thanks!
The SX package was Beefier shocks, buckets, center console, trim package, and the splash decals
Im pretty sure that there where no SR5 regular cabs, but they did have the 3.4 V6 until 1997

Regear first.
I dont know if that package comes with the rear e-locker or whatnot, but you might as well lock the front or rear(both?) before putting new tires on.
Any plans for bumpers?
