Ivan Stewart wheels on new Tacoma

In the next couple months, I will be trading in my 01 prerunner for most likely a new 06 tacoma 4x4. I will be keeping my Ivan Stewart TRD wheels with 265/75 Nitto Terra Grappler tires.
Is there any fitment issues with these wheels and backspacing on the new Tacoma?
I will be lifting 3" very soon after purchase and then maybe look at going to 285/75 afterwards.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just found out the 06 will have a tire pressure system on it

Can anyone give some more info on this system and if it can be worked around for aftermarket wheels??

I found some info on tundrasolutions.com
My wife's new Tundra has the same thing on there, and I am trying to decide if I want to have them try to put the old sensors in the new wheels or buy new sensors for the new wheels.

I talked to one of the engineers at NUMMI yesterday and he said changing wheels on the 06s with the TPMS is going to be a pain in the ass and tricky at best. He said the sensors have to be placed on the new wheels exactly correct or you are screwed. He didn't elaborate on what "screwed" meant but did say he wouldn't try it if it were his truck. I guess we will just have to wait and see. He did say however the 07s will be even worse.

the new tahoes and mercedes have them too like many other cars, it is no big deal to switch them to your old rims, i have had it done at discount tire on a s500 and a tahoe and silverado and had no troubles, they do it all the time.

That's good news. I'm just repeating what the guy said. Take it for what it's worth.

SLC Punk - Can you elaborate a little more on how the sensors are attached (wireless?) and how they function if you know?
What happens if a tire is too low? Does it throw a CEL or just a little dummy light like the seat belt indicator on the dash?

never mind - found a ton of info at ts.com
http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...ressure+sensor

I will see how the system works with just the OEM wheels and tires sitting in the garage... hehehe
If worse comes to worse, open the dash and out comes the bulb
