Introduction (pics!)
Hey there, well first off my name is reid and i am 16. i have had my yota for about 3 months before i turned 16. i have been around here for quite awhile just never got around to introducing myself. now for the good part: i have a 98 4runner ltd, with about 118,000 miles on it.
MODS:
4" deckplate
cobra cb/pa
4' firestik
25 watt pa speaker
roof rack
brush guard
6" offroad lights
12" pioneer w/ sony amp
husky liners throughout
rubber cutoff mudflaps
20% tint all around
vent visors
custom switch for sub
custom back-up lights
custom dent in bumper...:bigclap:
thats all i can think of right now, and being that im 16 and paying for everything myself, including most of the rig, i have a tight budget and that would be why i don't have all the nice hardcore stuff i would like to have. now on to pics....
thanks for looking, suggestions are more than welcome!

Welcome to YotaTech!
your 4runner looks real clean. only thing I would change is the do-it-yourself THULE sticker on the rack. Peel it off and hit me up with a pm. I can make ya a stock looking Thule decal for it, if your interested.

Nice rig man! I am 16 yr old paying for my stuff too. Get used to being broke! I just put a lift and some tires on my rig. It took me about 2 years to save up for everything and I spent it all in oneday, but once I put the lift and tires on it became the best investment ever.

Very nice truck! Great rig to start with. Very clean, and i like the paint scheme, i've always liked the two tone.
On a side note, how do you like your Pioneer sub? Do you have it attached to the floor, or is it just sitting there? Looked at a set of those the other day, but wasn't sure how i felt about the sound (in store is never the same as in truck).
Paid for all of mine myself too, though i'm no longer 16, it made me appreciate everything a whole lot more.
Good luck

i love the pioneer. IMO it beats pretty darn hard for one 12", but mainly depends on what amp you are running with it. i considered doing two but changed my mind because of the way it bounces off the back hatch beating that much harder. great sub for the price! oh and no it is not YET attached to the floor, kind of a hazard when offroad because it swings around, its on my list though.

more pics of the backup lights, good cheap addition IMO, very easy to wire right up to the reverse lights.
and the cool "date ejector" switch lit up at night

so you totally disconnected the stock reverse lights huh? different.
I would say ditch the brush guard and the THULE sticker... and your yota will be lookin sweeeeet.

I don't want to sound negative, but at 16, talking on the phone while driving is a verrrry bad thing (I'm only 17). It's one of the worst habits and can be attributed to a good percentage of wrecks.
Nice rig regardless!

well you really have two options. i have a switch and they wired up to the reverse lights. to run to a switch i just grounded them to the frame and ran the power wire into the switch that i have on my front offroad lights. the lights come with a switch and instructions on how to wire them. and then to hook them up to the reverse lights you just undo the two bolts holding the tail light in place and splice into the wire running to the reverse lights. $15 at walmart. ha
