Awesome, well yeah...if possible the most stock looking the better.
Also, if we could think of a way to maybe mount a plate on the bottom of the fender well to make it more rigid that coudl possibly offset the weakness of the 4runner fenders. I was just outside and I banged on the fender well with my fist as hard as I could and man...it felt pretty solid. Just some thoughts.
Maybe bring a digital camera with you or something so you could take pics of you guys pointing out where the mounts would actually be.
Thanks for all the work on this Ric, sounds like it's still got tons of potential!

I was refering to the tire size with the roll bar. The top tube takes up some space and then since the top bar is flat and the roof is not there is some wasted space in the middle between the top of the top tube and the roof.
I am sure that without the tube in the way you are perfectly correct.

ADH8796,
thankx for posting that, and that is something of what me and Oleg talked about, the onlt problem is the LC have a grab handle right there, so there are holes there with nuts on the back side, which makes mounting a peice of cake.
Im going to visit with Jed (prob.) on Mon. so throw out some ideas..

well guys, went and talked to Armorology, and took my baby apart trying to come up with something that will work for everyone.
Jed has a few ideas on how to secure the mount, its not going to be easy, and its not going to be cheap, he is thinnking about $300, thats a little more than $150ish we wanted it to be.
It can be done, it can be done with Armorology quaility, but I wasnt sure sure if anyone, would want to pay $300 for one.
let me know your thoughts, and be nice

I went with the roll bar cost me $70 from the junk yard and about 2 hours to mod, stip down, and paint. Now I have a very small amount of help if I roll while doing mild wheeling and a great place for the tire, fire extingusher, air tank and maglite. Very happy with it and looks great. Just seems like a better deal if you ask me.

I'll post up some pics as soon as I have the maglite and the fire extingusher mounted. Or maybe I'll just post some up without those things mounted on it so you can get a better Idea of what it looks like plain. Either way I'll be working on some pics after work hopefully.

Yeah...I'm going to do the roll bar to. I met with Anthony (ADH8796) and he did a badass job on his. I've got two rollbars located, just trying to negotiate shipping rates.
I'm gonna have Anthony do the fab work for me so it should be pretty cheap, maybe the cost of buyin him and his girlfriend dinner or somethin.

yea a roll bar might be a cheaper route, Im sorry guys, I tried, it was a good thought/idea, but to have something like this custom made for us (4runners) isnt gonna be cheap, Im either going to have a tire carrier added to the rear bumper (that was my original plan) or do the roll bar, atleast we tried.
