Interior light switch on tailgate?

Can anyone tell me where the switch is for the interior/dash-door open lights is on the tailgate? And is it tough to get to? Some guy hit the side of my truck the other day, now my tailgate isn't working right. It will close and latch, but the interior light stays on, and the dash "hey stupid your door is open" light won't go out. I've also discovered (at 1:30am) that my alarm must be hooked to this same switch, because a gust of wind is enough to move the tailgate, momentarily push the switch in, then let it go again triggering the alarm. and it has the auto-arm feature so I can't not set it. And because people can't drive in the snow, I have to deal with this until the 18th when I can take it in to be fixed. If it's easy to get to the switch, I may attempt to either fix it or break it enough that it stops triggering the alarm. If it's tough to get to, I will go buy earplugs so it stops waking me up in the middle of the night. Sorry I'm kind of rambling.

It appears the switch resides on the latch mechanism. You would have to remove the interior door panel to access.

Cool. Thank you. I checked my haynes manual, but I must have missed it. I drop off the truck for professional repairs on Wednesday afternoon, so I will refrain from mucking with it. I was really hoping I was just blind and it was a visible switch like the side doors are. Stupid Honda, goes and screws up my truck!
