interior/exterior electrical issue
i have a '98 4runner sr5 v6. i've searched and only found a couple threads dealing with some of my issues, here's what's wrong:
i shorted out the ash tray light socket and now my dash lights and gauge cluster lights are out, my stereo lost power for a second and all memory function was lost but it stays on now and has it's memory back, tail lights but not break lights are out, front corner lights are out but not turn signals, headlights work, horn works, dome lights work, map lights work, but the rear wiper and rear window are both not working either. the hatch has had issues previously so i'm not sure if that happened because of the short. i've checked all fuses and no blown fuses. i've read about this possibly burning out the dimmer switch, but would that also affect the tail lights and marker lights?
if anyone has any suggestions about where to look i would certainly appreciate it. i've done the search and only found threads dealing with just the dash lights or just the tails/marker lights, but never both at the same time. thanks in advance.

any one have a wiring diagram for a 1998 4runner SR5 4wd 3.4L V6 or know where to find one? a link would be nice, i don't have the toyota service manual, and if i could possibly have access to the schematic/diagram this weekend that would be nice, so i can track this down and get back on the road
thanks again,
patrick

thank you deathcougar, PM sent.
in the meantime, i've been checking the system as much as i can without a wiring diagram which only showed me that i do have power to the turn/headlight switch but without knowing what each pin does i'm stuck there. i did check the wiring going to the dimmer switch and i have no power to it so there must be something messed up before that switch. it does sound like it might be the turn/headlight switch since it affects the interior lights and the running lights on the exterior. again, if anyone has a pdf or any other file they can send me or link to that shows a schematic or wiring diagram for the '98 V6 4runner this would be a great help.
thank you
