Great write-up and install. That's what I want to do to my 4runner once I get the chance and money but I'm probable going to go with the tjm 15. I'm not a big fan of the hoops. Are you going to do anything with the rear bumper??
Would it possible for you to send me a price break-down on those items. So I can get a better idea of what everything cost. If not don't worry I'll just do some more research.
Does having the basket effect your gas mileage much? I understand that sometimes with a lift you have to adjust your drive shaft (if I said it wrong I'm a newbie) did you have to do that? When you ran the lights did you run them to a seperate fuse and does running them behind the door like that cause any leaks or wear on the wires?? Sorry, for all of the newbie questions but unless you ask you can't learn. Then again the search button helps too.
Again nice build up?

If you could pop me a PM with the same thing that would be greatly appreciated.

Looks nice. Must be like a new vehicle now after doing all those mods so close to each other.. I assume youre using ome 890's for the rear? Im surprised youre only sitting at 37 for height,, as i have read higher yields from others (with 265/70) . regardless it looks great and will be perfect with the 265/75's
Correct, 890s in the rear. Actually, it's sitting higher than I expected. At SonoranSteel.com, Steve states this lift as gaining 2.0" in the front and 2.5" in the rear. I gained 3.0" in the rear, so I'm pleased.

I'm running the TJM T-15. You're probably thinking about the T-17...the one w/o the hoops.
I would like to get some type of "fabbed" rear bumper. Maybe a BruceTS when he starts rolling them out.
No problem, I'll PM you a price break-down.
The basket, lift & bumper has not affected the overall mpgs near as much as I had expected. I'm somewhat of a "conservative" driver anyway, but before all the mods, I was averaging 300 miles to a tank. That's roughly 70% highway commuting & 30% city.
After the mods, I'm still getting 280 - 300 mpgs. However, I think that is due in large part to being easier on the throttle and I'm sure the warmer weather helps too.
The basket is very aerodynamic and low profile, so that helps.
No drive shaft adjustments were needed.
Yes, both front and rear aux lights have seperate fuses.
No, running the lights behind the door like that does NOT cause any leaks or wear on the wires, Plenty of room for both the wires and drainage.
Don't be sorry for all the questions, we are here to help each other out.
WOW Freaken sick rig. Thats almost exactly how i would love to have mine look. Simple, clean and very powerful, I think you put the money in the right places. Cant wait to see it with tires.
If you could pop me a PM with the same thing that would be greatly appreciated.

Looks Awesome.
I've been away from this board for a while.. got hung up on another one for a while.
It has been while since I looked into the ARB and TJM.. is there a direct bolt on now? can you give me the part number?
Thanks

The ARB models require a little more work to fit, but not much. Others who have ARBs installed can give you more information on what I'm describing. I'm sure they can give you part numbers as well.
