I'm about to buy LC rims for my 4 runner and?!?!?

I was wondering:
the rims I'm getting are from a 1998 Landcruiser...how much backspacing is there on these rims? How much backspacing does my current 4 runner rim have?

my current 4 runner rims are 16" and look like this:

the rims I am getting are 16" and look like this:

The stock 4Runner wheels have a BS of 4.75" while the LC80 wheels have a BS of 4.25"

The land cruiser wheel you are showing is from an 80 series cruiser for which 1997 was the last year of production. the 1998 (100 series) cruisers have a 17'' wheel.

Less backspacing = smaller stance.

I put 1.5" spacers on my 4runner and love the look that they have. Although i will be getting some differnt rims when the time come to get new Tires. i will want to have the same total BS on them as i have with the stocks + 1.5" spacer.

I'm pretty sure its the other way around. The more backspacing, the farther in the wheels will be. Wheel technical info here

you've got it backwards, less backspacing = wider stance.

Opps, so you are right, i had it explained backwards to me before. I was told that the backspacing was the distacnce from the outside of the tire to the mounting surface not the back on the wheel to the mounting surface.

I stand corrected.

Those rims will look terrible on your truck. You should let me buy them instead Seriously though, I went on a trail ride yesterday with a guy that has those rims on his FJ80 and the tires he had were 315/70r16. That package looked nice and performed awesome offroad. I think that tire would be too wide for a 4Runner as it would rub but it would be cool to findout if it could fit.

Yea...and the 100 series cruisers are 5 lug. Your 4Runner is 6 lug. Not gonna work.

I have them on my 4Runner. I have bushwacker fender flares and they are about flush with the outside of the tire.
They are also 8" rims, which gives a bit wider stance.

What? you're letting go of those wheels? I suppose you got something better than the LC80 wheels.

I got my LC wheels for 60$ a piece. If you look on car-part.com you should be able to find them at a local salvage yard for much less.

Did you have to prep them any for powdercoating, or did the powdercoaters?
