I just picked up the stuff to do this mod, hopefully I 'll find the time later this evening to do it. I decided to go with blue LED's since my head unit has a blue display. Thanks for the great write-up!

Very nicely done. I will have to say that I now have some more "bling" projects for later. REally like the LED cupholder illumination mod. Will definitely add this to my to do list. You are absolutely right about the "black hole" the cupholders live in. Looking to do blue lighting in my runner so I may go with blue in my install.
Fo_SheeZy, can you send me the link for the door LED mod? I think this is a gr8 idea. I can see lots of lighting potential here. My soldering gun is getting itchy!
So Speedy, have you noted any change in your gas milage since the Supercharger install? Would like to do this mod but like you said, $$ is what is holding me back on this. It would be a real kick in the pants to have one.

another reason why i wish i had the cupholders, good job speedy. i'm thinking this would be a good mod to do in a few areas, in the cubby hole below the radio and in the center console. i would eventually like to do the doors as well but i have to figure out if it's going to be the runner i have or if i actually am getting another one

Ritzy check out speedy's web linky I think I saw his mileage data posted on one of the "updates" there. I know he posted an average increase of about 2 MPG when running 93 oct. (21.03?mpg) over 87 oct. (19.66 mpg) before he installed the SC.

I ended up using 2600 mcd LED's for mine with a 1k ohm trimpot ... the trimpot allows you to adjust the brightness of the LED's to what you want. The wiring in the car was a bit tricky (took me a while to figure out that I blew a fuse), but the wiring of the lights to the cup holders was easy thanks to the great write-up.
Here are the part #'s for the parts i used:
2 Blue LED lights : 276-316
1000 Ohm trimpot aka a potentiometer : 271-280
I still used all the other parts as listed in the write-up

Looks Great!
Looks great! Thanks for the write-up I bought my parts last night and going to do the mod today weather permitting. One thing I found at radio shack was some LEDs that were prewired with resistor for 12volt applications. Still green and already had the holder attached plus the lens is much flatter. Part number 276-085 also available in red lens. low low price of $1.99.
