Idle hanging up at 1100 rpm
Lately I have been having a problem with the idle sticking on my vehicle it normally comes up and goes down to 700-800 rpm but lately it is hanging at about 1000-1100 and I can hear the egr staying open. I already know it's not the throttle Position sensor because that is adjusted and operating properly. I tap on the throttle linkage on the T-body and the idle goes back to normal. Do you think it is the linkage binding or the cable causing the problem? Can I do anything to keep it operating correctly using a lube like triflow or something? Do you think I should start shopping for another T-body? If so I am going to put a overbored one in.

Do as HondaTec said. Once your throttle body is clean, then disconnect the hose that runs from the valve cover to the intake. Get a full can of carburator cleaner and spray into the intake through that hose while the engine is running. Go ahead, bog the engine at idle. The carburator cleaner will be passing through the idle bypass and cleaning the gunk out. Then open the throttle plate up and let the CC pass through the throttle body and clean the gunk you couldn't reach when you cleaned the body earlier. You'll probably have to adjust the idle screw after you're finished.

It's all clean. I cleaned it less than 700 miles ago when I rebuilt the motor. I think it's due to the throttle plate spring on the throttle body. It seems like it hangs up and does not have enough pressure to push it back to it's original position.
