Idle Control System CEL code and IAC?
P0505 check engine light code. When searching and tracking down information on this code, I'm getting conflicting information. For the most part, its says IAC valve needs cleaning/replacement. Ok, that's fine, but this morning I went to the dealership to get an IAC gasket and they tell me there isn't an IAC valve on 2001 and up 4runners. They gave me this info too :
From this link from a 2000 Tacoma 3.4, it points to the IAC valve, but according to the info above, a 2001 4runner is different.
Can anyone clarify? I'd like to understand this a little more before I dig in.
Thanks

****UPDATE:****
Digging up more info and talking to a couple people, it seems somewhere in between late 2000 and early 2001, the 4Runners switched to "Throttle by Wire" which changed the FSM procedure.
I did all the resistance testing on page 3. The throttle control motor wasn't within specifications (0.0 reading). Has anyone else had this problem or am I going to have to replace the whole throttle body like it says?

it is possible after reading this page that it is due to improper communication between the Tps and throttle motor actuator. I would check this first.
I see the throttle control motor is replaceable.
