I Want An Xrunner
I am looking at different vehicles to get to and from work I cant drive the 4runner 3 hours a day all over chicago any more. Ive been looking at 3rd gen 4runner 5spd with a super charger. and the new xrunner with a supercharger (300hp, 0-60 in 7.0, almost 1 lateral g). I cant find a whole lot of info on these xrunners but what ive seen looks good. Any body nave any opinions on these things.

I'm looking into one when I can get a decent deal (%) on an '06.
Check out CustomTacos.com under their XRunner link.
There are a few issues with them, hence the reason I am waiting on an '06.
The major one seems to be a trans issue, and a tire issue.
I don't want to be taking anew truck to the dealer.
There is one for sale on eBay. Expect to pay the sticker price unless you get an '05.
There is no S/C for it, but URD is working on a nice turbo (twin?) setup. $$$

There was a company trying to get a S/C for the X (4.0), I know they scrapped the plan because they blew up 2 motors trying to get it tweaked.
The guys on CT said that there may never be a bolt on because the compression is already high.

Very nice truck though.

Not Limiteds. I too wish they did. I'd have more fun with mine.

I know the '01 and '02 LTD models didn't have a manual. I asked for one when I bought it.
Maybe they took a manual and made it into a LTD?

There are plenty of 5-speed 3rd gens around if you look. I found quite a few 1997 and 1998 models with the 5-speed but the 1999+ were more difficult to find. I found (and bought) a fairly rare one last month--it's a white 2000 with the large fender flares, 5-speed manual and e-locker.
Limiteds were never available with a manual trans. You could order leather as an option on an SR5, so that is likely what you saw.
