I must be a retard
Ok, once again I am seeking the wisdom of the forum.
I am back on the fence about suspension options, and now I am wondering if I can just install the OME comfort shocks all around to achieve the desired ride I want. If I can do this, I am still left with the problem of towing. I want to trailer my boat better, so I need firmer springs, I just dont know if I want 2.5 inches of lift.
Bottom line: What can I do to maybe raise the rear a bit for better towing, keep my stock height mainly intact, but greatly increase comfort and rideability?
THanks for the help....

You might try adding some air springs. They're air bags you install either inside the springs or near them. You can run a minimal pressure in them most of the time, then when you hitch up to tow, air them up to assist your springs and correct the ride height. I've seen them in NWOR's catalog under two different brands: Firestone & Air Lift.
Your comfort shocks probably won't be stiff enough to control motion. You might try the Edelbrocks. They're the only ones that owners have claimed they have smoothed out their ride while controlling the motion without riding like a rock.
I have Gabriels and I definitely would not recommend them as a comfort shock.
