All uselss BS about how you did or didn't get the truck aside, I just want to say congratulations. I know what you mean about how much different the ride is. People who ignore that the differences in the 2nd and 3rd gens (4runners) and claim they drive the same are crazy. Again, congratulations on the new ride!

Thanks guys!
Cebby, I thought about a Canback canopy, but the only problem I see is that where I live 9 months out of the year is a college town. It's in bozeman, and there are a lot of dumb a$$'s that like to take their knives and slice peoples leather tonneu(sp?) covers. Also, there is a lot of snow over there and I know they are stong, but I'd still be worried about it collapsing.
I was looking at the A.R.E. Z-series. It seems like a pretty slick canopy. Also, I'm trying to find a good deal on one because I've still got to save up some money for college.

You're a good son - your parents wanted to do this for you and your gratitude, I'm sure, means everything to them. My parents are like yours - I love them to death and give them all the props in the world.
As for your mods... wow, where to begin?!?!?!?

Man, when i do good in school all i get is a "Wow, thats cool. Now get outside and clean the Cat" You could also change cat with loader, skidder, dump truck, or just about any other equipment my dad has.
Cant complain though, i love working on machines that can push a house down in one try. the D8 is huge.
