I just got quite the upgraded vehicle!!!

So, yesterday my dad surpised me with a new truck. I knew that I was going to be getting one sometime in the future, but not a spanking new one. It's a 2004 Tacoma V-6, 4x4, extra cab, 5-speed (thanks guys for the poll). It has the oak interior and has the SR5 and convinence packages. I cannot believe how much different it drive comparied to my old truck. Here is a picture of the new truck on the right and my old truck on the left.

I also just want to add that without my partents pushing me to do as good as I am in school they never would have done this for me. So I just want to let every one know that I have the best parents in the world and I appriciate every thing they've done for me.

Damn strait! I'm planning on buying a nice canopy for this (recomendations?) Also I'm getting a linex bed liner sprayed in, a bug/rock guard for the hood, and some light covers (good place to get those?) I'm getting a deal through my friend's dad for the spray in bed liner. So that's nice.

Nice truck!

You left out on your list of mods: TRD Supercharger, URD fuel mods, lift, tires, wheels, etc.

Hahaha, yep the supercharger and the fuel mods are going to be one of them. The lift tire and wheels however will not be. Well, maybe a small spacer and a little bigger meats, but nothing even close to my old truck.

Sherpa, sorry man, my little bro got dibs on that. He's pretty excited too.

If it makes you feel better, my dad made me buy his 1990 truck, my old one, from him for my first car. Of course I had to make payments but it still cost me $4000. Most of my friends were puzzled as to why I had to buy a vehicle from my parents, but that's what it's like living in Woodinville

Ha! That's actually a very smart thing that they did. Nearly every decent financial advisor will tell you (parents) to teach their children financial responsibility by encouraging them to work to earn something. They did the right thing!

How far are you from Cottage Lake Elementary? I used to live right by there. Well, English Hill to be exact.

That rocks! Great work! I hope you find some way to show them how appreciative you are! (Was part of the new truck deal to give the old one to your little bro? That's an awesome deal anyway!!!)

Yep, that's part of the deal, but my little bro isn't getting my old truck for free. He gets to pay for it just like I did.

Christian, I'm so glad that my parents did this. It really did make me much more appriciative and responsible. I'm also glad that they are doing it for my younder brother. Also, I live about 2 miles from cottage lake elemetary.

Maddog, yep, most of my friends do eat off of a silver spoon. The weird/scary thing is, they don't show it off. The kids that are not my friends that eat off of silver, no sorry, platnum spoons are the typical "rich kid." Last year when I graduated, some of the gifts to kids included, new BMW's, and H2, a few tacomas, and the king of them all, a Mercades SLK 320 with all the goodies on it. Yep that's right, a 18 year old with a car that has an MSRP of $45,770.00

in college i a kid in my class was given a viper worth 84k, his sister drove a merc coupe that was only a measly 42k.

ridiculous. you on the other hand are appreciative and will im sure take great care of your truck.

when youre older with a job and you buy your own car, you'll realize its even better to pay for it yourself.

i was given a 1994 saab 9000 when i was 17 (1998 or so) and though i appreciated it and took great care of it, its nothing like the 4runner i now own and bought myself.

The H2's MSRP is $49,180 and that's rediculous but if they respect it then maybe it's not bad but still rediculous.

Awesome bro, awesome...wish I was back in WA with ya...still wrapping things up here in MT.

I cant wait to see what you do with it. Nitrous Enterprises is going to have a ton of very trick parts available for your rig over the next month or two. Let me know if you are interested in anything custom as well.

i have always wanted another taco, so i know where ya are coming from...that is one killer ride for sure...peace.
