Unhappy I got rear ended. What do you guys think.

I was going to a friends house before my first week of college. Some woman taking her kid to school plowed into the back of me. Now its in the shop. But i did get an 08 dodge ram rental. That makes it a little better.

yea, the lift and tires save my runner, if it was stock it would have done alot more damage to the back hatch.

Thats not all that bad. You could probably buy the bumpers from a junk yard for like $100-200!

Hopefully no frame damage, but, I doubt that is the case.

Same thing happened to me, but, I was parked in my driveway in my room watching a movie. A guy ran through the front yard and plowed into my 4Runner!

Bummer, you got the good end of the stick there though. Minimal damage, dodge ram for a while, damages paid for. Not bad

I think that you shouldn't drop the soap

I think you should take the opportunity and any insurance money and get an armoured rear bumper.

+1

Take the insurance money and get something decent and steel. Next time you will be ready... Hell, I have been waiting for something like that to happen to my truck. Doesn't seem like there is much damage at all to the body. I would get that taken care of so you don't have any rust issues down the line but as far as bumpers go, I'd stay away from the stock tin if you can swing a custom rear bumper with what you get from the insurance co.

I'd also complain to the insurance company about your sore and aching neck and back.
Just kidding, don't do that. People who do are the reason I have to pay $120/month even though I'm a healthy active 26 year old male. That and the broken legs but that's besides the point.

All joking aside, take the insurance money, save a bit and armored bumper/rear end. And fix your truck too!
