How to replace the 3rd gen Limited fender flare cushion
Hi,
the cushion strips between the fender flares and the body panel have started to disintegrate in my truck. Can the cushions strips be removed and replaced without removing the flares?
If i do need to remove the flares, how do i go about it?
Thanks!

I wasn't sure what you meant at first. You mean the gasket between the flares and the body? When I had an old Bug it was called fender welting or fender bead.
You have to remove the flare. I'm interested if anyone has a part number for them. This post shows how to do it and he ended up using 3M trim tape on the edges:

thanks for the reply.
I'll post the part numbers when I get them. but the part numbers for the cushion strips are color-specific.
will also need to order the clips.
