How to quicken ET / SPEED with AT

Hi, I have a blown V6 with automatic. My question is that how can I cut down my ET while boost my speed when going from red light to red light against an import subcompact with manual transmission. Do you up shift from L to 2 to D by redlining each gear? From taking off in D, my Double Cab feels really slow.

You don't have to manually shift your auto it does nothing. What you can to is depending on what year you have. Adjust the Tranny kick down cable all you have to do is adjust it to make the tranny shift a litter faster and leave o/d off and ECT off. Hell try different configurations to See which has the best et.

Lose some weight! haha just kiddin. But seriously, you can at least take it to the track instead of red light to red light racing.

I think that it will slow you down trying to manually shift your auto. If you stomp on the gas, you will notice that it will go to redline in every gear anyway.

If you want to speed it up a little, then get the level 10 vb upgrade for your transmission. That will speed up the time inbetween shifts.

No doubt, the S/C is all ready taxing the fuel system and you want to let loose with the funny gas?! I'm sure the bottom end can handle the increase in cylinder pressures but without more fuel temps will skyrocket in a quickness....

Thats why you run the stock pulley and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER shoot over a 75 shot in her. Not to mention this would be less than a 2 second shot as well.

Still too much. The fuel system can barely support the addition of the TRD supercharger let alone a 75 shot. Let me know when yours blows up.

As far as shifting goes... Leave it in drive, smash your foot to the floor and let the transmission shift. If you have a stock tranny, that is the best you can do. It does not shift fast enough for you to do it yourself. Plus, like someone already mentioned, it will shift near the red-line anyway.

Here's your two best options in my opinion as others have mentioned from cheapest to expensive:

1) Read this thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...C+tranny+saver

2) Read this thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...&highlight=IPT

Of course there is a lot of other options like fuel injectors, fuel pump, piggy-back computer, smaller pulleys, water injection, etc., so just name your budget, and we'll spend it for you.
