I'm dry again @ 189K. Mine started to leak a slight bit (2 or 3 drops overnight) from the rear main seal. After an oil change, it stopped leaking. I don't know why, I'm just glad it stopped

My Maxima now needs about a half quart added between 15,000 mile oil changes now with 300,000 miles on the clock.

My truck with the 22RE leaks a few drops from the front passenger side from time to time. Not sure if it is the timing cover or what. I rarely have to add oil between changes.
I run Amsoil and change once a year.

My '85 22RE wouldn't use a drop until right at 3000 miles, then it would start to use it quickly, perhaps a quart in the next 1000 miles. When it got to about a half quart low, the oil pressure would drop slightly at idle. This was always my reminder to change the oil. My father had exactly the same experience with his too. The 3.0 doesn't use any at all, and it has 212k on it!

I think this question pertains more to "how much does your 2nd gen 3.0 yota burn", rather than across all the generations. I researched the oil consumption and found on a 2nd gen, it is "normal" to lose a quart or more between changes. Granted I don't see anything "normal" about that but mine drinks oil too. Doesn't blow smoke or drip either. I notice I have to keep an eye on the level mostly when I go on trips that have high mountain passes and I am pushing the engine pretty hard. I think my next change I will swap to 10w 40, and will see what that does. Keep you posted ....

The 94 just started leaking a little at 165K, on a recent 1200 mile road trip I lost a little less than a quart. I always seem to have a little puddle under the engine after I park it, doesnt smoke though!

My ol'95 3vze cam gaskets leaked at about 125K. Leaving little drops of oil here and there. Mostly on my tranmission. Argh! Had an ASE certified mechanic fix it.

None so far ... I hope it doesnt burn any ever....I owned a Ford Ranger, Chevrolet S-10, Jeep Wrangler, Subaru WRX and now this and none of them have ever used oil and I drove the Ranger, S-10, and almost the Wrangler above 200k miles....So I have my fingers crossed...

I go through about 1 quart each month, but I know where my oil goes...drip drip drip onto the ground from the rear main seal. Usually leaves a 3" diameter oil slick in the street each night.

All of it!!
My 86 toyota leaks all of the oil!!! I put 4 quarts in...next thing i know...4 quarts on the garage floor!!! Oh yeah... does anyone know what the hole at the bottom of the oil pan is for?
lol..joking.
Actually, my yota does leak. I have to redo my timing cover install since i forgot to put some RTV on the top of the cover where it meets the headgasket. I also have a leak that drips down my bellhousing...i'm pretty sure it's not an oil pan leak...but possibly a shift lever seal leak?? or something like that. If anyone's got a pointer on that...let me know!!

I use 10w40 in my 95 runner, but it still uses 1 qt every 3K miles. I do see more being used on long trips as well. It has no leaking or any signs of burning.

Maybe a few ounces in 8,000 miles. I have never used anything but Mobile 1
5W30. It's a 01 Tacoma, 2.7 and well taken care of.
