Depending what your deductible is you might be better off paying cash for it. Wouldn't make sense to pay a $500 deductible for a $300 Cat, IF its $300.
Sucks to hear it got stolen, Birdbrain just had his stolen a couple months ago, at least they left the 02 sensors......

You are gonna have to get it welded regardless if they cut it. Find out what the insurance says and price out OEM and aftermarket. I have a magnaflow that works fine.
Holy hell 1300 bucks!!!! ouch, bra!!

See here:
He only needs #4, which Toyota wants over $1300 for. Hence why thieves steal that stuff.

Hello all, I had my Cat stolen, 1400 for 17401-62050 OEM and replaced with with Magnaflow 49249.
Check engine light continues to come on says diagnostic says that Cat is bad and triggering the second sensor.
It has less than 5k on it, Toyota says its the wrong cat, my Toyota Tech says I need to replace it with a OEM or it will continue to trip the engine light.
I spoke to Magnaflow and they told me that its the correct cat for my 2000 4Runner. Told me to get a Emissions test and call them but they believe its something else.
Suggestions? Thoughts?
For the money and time I have already spent, I should have just bought the OEM Cat!

Be nice to know just what code it is throwing?/
Have you checked or replaced the sensors I just did the whole exhaust from the down pipe back to the tail pipe on a 3.4 using walker cats and muffler with two new denso sensors. i have no problems. In fact the light cleared by itself.
for what it is worth about 120,000 miles 2000 Tacoma
