How many grease nipples on rear drive shaft on 4x4 4runners?
I can only find 4 on rear driveshaft on a 2000. 2 on the double joint behind the transmission, one on the slip yolk and one on the rear bearing in front of the diff. Should there be 3 on the joint behind the transmission??..i cant find the one in the middle of the joint..there should be one there i think...Like the front drive shaft of the earlier models.

I found the double cardan joint fitting! I ass_u_me_d it was like my Toyota truck-in the hole on the side, it's not, it is angled to the rear. Hope this helps someone else looking for it!

My 2001 has three on the double cardan. I only wish they were like the ones pictured in the link. The two for the universal crosses aren't in the bearing caps; on mine they are angled coming out of the center of the crosses. To grease the front one, I have to spin the fitting to the top and attach the grease fitting blindly. All told, I have 5 on the rear shaft and 3 on the front shaft; same count and generla locations as in the link.
