How loud is your Super Charger?

Open Loop: A set mode. The system does not compensate for external influences. In other words, your piggyback will take over.
Closed Loop: Dynamic; attempts to keep "error" to a minimum. We SC'd guys don't like this mode because the system is constantly trying to "fight" the mods we install to curtail the HG/LR ping problem. Retarding timing force-fixes this, but it's really a bandaid. So even though I can eliminate HG/LR ping, I have retarded the timing so much that my power increase from the SC'r is down to 50% at low RPM's and less than 80% throttle position.
I think I got that right. Sometimes I get them backwards...

I'm just wondering if people are complaining but don't have a stock SC setup. How many people have the the standard pulley with no 7th injector and are getting acceptable performance. IE no ping or lean?
LOL the Runner is my wife's daily driver. She's complaining that it's too fast. Well not really but she likes it.

I don't really understand your question but.......I have a supercharger with the stock pulley and no 7th injector and I think I get good performance. But I do get spark knock when go uphill or going up hill with a trailer. Other thn that it does not knock and works great. My truck now has 128k miles and I'm going to be adding the 7th injecor along with getting the sc rebuilt

If I try I can still get some ping, but for nearly all driving its gone. I would suggest for most people not living at altitude, my experience is typical. YMMV

just rebuilt my sc. thought a bearing was going bad. when i pulled the belt i noticed the pulley was loss. wabbling on shaft. the id on the pulley was wore. also the shaft on the nose unit was wore. this was causing a horrible noise. i'm a machinist and after getting some expensive quotes i decided to rebuild the unit myself. bearings, seal, oil. even replaced needle bearings in housing. not that tough if the rotors and bores are in good shape. be sure to use a good seal.
