How to disarm Factory Alarm for Remote Starter

I have been working on installing a remote starter on my buddies 2000 4Runner. Everything has gone very smoothly to this point and all systems operate like they should except...

When the vehicle is locked and enough time has lapsed for the factory installed alarm to arm and then I try to start the vehicle the factory alarm will sound once the vehicle starts.

The vehicle starts fine. I have hooked up the appropriate wire to the key sense wire but has not helped.

Any suggestions?

You will have to connect the alarm disarm wire from the remote start system to the OEM Alarm disarm wire (Blue-Black) located in the 18 Pin connector on the Driver side kick panel.

Ok. Do you know how to test to make sure this is the right wire? The Factory Security Disarm Signal output wire I have only provides a 1 second negative (-) pulse upon remote starting and door unlocking. Will this satisfy?

Thanks for your help!
