hit and run... my poor bumper!

... by my own father! He backed into it this morning with his truck ('98 Z71 chevy silverado) and did a good number to my bumper. I'm guessing the whole bumper is toast cus he bent it in so bad. He also dented in the part of the fender that sits under the corner light as well as the piece that sits under the headlight. He didn't manage to crack any lights, though.. Is there any other things in the area of impact I should look into for more damage. I haven't even turned her over yet so I dunno if he threw anything else outta whack. What you guys think, time for an ARB?

Well I for one think you should sell me your fog lamps. The stock ones. I really want them bad for my truck but cant find them cheap. Even if the bracket is messed up ill fab a new one if I have to.

Also if your not gonna be needing those clear turn lights either haha. Ill be more than happy to get those off ya to. But thats only if ya wanna switch to a dif bumper. I say you should slap a Arb or the shrockworks one. I think the shrockworks makes the truck look more like a tank in a way haha.
So shoot me a PM if you happen to be interested.

Thanks,
- Mark

I'll still use my clear corners if I get a different bumper but If I do decide to get an aftermarket bumper you'll be first in line for my fogs.

They do, but TJM is discontinued in USA. Yea, shrockworks = not happening. Cost too much $$ plus, it would take 6 months before i ever got it.

haha, well sad enough it did nothing to his.. I did get the ok though on an ARB but only if the deductable is $750+ from the looks of it it would probably run around 2-3K for all the parts and install from a body. He pushed my driver side fender in a little bit.. Got to find the cheapest ARB

Talking

Nice to see that you dad's going to help you out with getting her fixed. My mom borrowed my Runner a few years ago, and when she brought it home, she made the mistake of pushing down on the gas instead of the brakes! She ended up backing the rig into the deck at home, causing $5000.00 in damage! I got a new bumper, driver side Quarter panel, and hatch out of the deal. My mom thought I'd disown her, my dad paid for the repairs. The funny thing is, she only borrowed my truck to go to the city and buy a vase for her living room. MY DAD CALLS IT THE $5000.00 VASE!

If you end up getting a new bumper I would love the cover that goes on the passenger side off your old one!

Dang, thats an expensive vase!!

I talked to a guy at 4wheelparts about the ARB. $766 plus $60 shipped to my door isn't all that bad. The only thing is, it's not painted. I wonder if I can talk to quadratec and see if they can offer me lower shipping cus they have them painted already. Just to make sure my research is correct, I will have to get the Deluxe Bull Bar that fits the 95-04 Tacomas right (ARB3423020)?

If I get the ARB I'll be sure to scrap out the parts from the stocker..

I think that IRBIS has a few left in stock if you want a TJM... I believe they are silver though, Don't know what your into.

I love my ARB! Now I just need something for the Rear, maybe with a winch in it...

yea, I looked at IRBIS but Im not a fan of the silver ones. Plus, little high in price. I'm looking forward to getting an ARB if all goes as planned.
