how can i tell if its the fan? What fan, and where is it located? are you talking about the fan in front of the radiator? If you are I don't think its that fan because i only hear it when the passenger side door is open.

(building on Neil's question)

...if it's a smooth hiss, has anyone been pulling (or would have had the chance to pull) vacuum lines lately?

If your cat is clogging up it will build pressure in the exhaust and blow out a gasket, usually forward of the cat and can present as a hiss.

Could also be a snake.

its a constant hiss, and it sounds like its coming from the door jam. I know its not, but its coming from somewhere in that region....

Not sure if this is related but I have a constant hiss or blowing sound coming from the very rear of my rig but only when I'm moving above about 5-10 mph...I think it may be those vents in the back but I have no idea what to do about it.

Can you smell exhaust where you wouldn't normally? This could help you find a possible exhaust leak.

No exhaust smell, its not the speaker. are there any vacuum lines near the passenger side door jam? Kinda near the hinges. I tried to take a video of the sound, but it didn't turn out well, the sound didn't sound how it normally sounds. Thanks guys for you ideas, i guess i will just have to take it into the stealer, and have them check it out.

Hey, try this.

Open the lid on the airbox and see if the noise changes and let us know.

If it was a vacuum leak the truck would run like poo. I'd go in another direction...in a related note, I would highly recommend a Haynes manual, they generally have a pretty good troubleshooting section.

Well, I am certain that the noise will change if the lid of the air box is opened.

The reason for this is that the air intake for the engine is in that area in the fender and what he is hearing is air being sucked into the air intake.

hmmmm. yea vaumcum leak would make it run like very nasty runny poo lol. but. like gadet said. if that is where the intake s at?? i dont got a clue. air intake will make a sound. but its usally more of a sucking sound. like if u take out the fatory air box and replace it with a cone filter. it will make a very loud sucking noise because the truck begins to grab much more air into the intake then normal. but i would guess it could have sucked up somethign possably and caused it to sound diffrent
