That's great! But, the words may not show up too well on the auction since the pic there is so small.

All but one of that guy's auctions has ended, so keep an eye out for a re-listing soon!

Here's my reply from ebay after e-mailing them through that link:

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to write eBay with your concerns. I'm
happy to help you further.

I have reviewed the information that you provided regarding the use of
images or text in item number 7916453445, but at this point find that I
do not have enough evidence to show that the member has violated any
eBay rules.

Regrettably, we will only be able to take action if the owner of the
images or text writes to us. In some instances, sellers may have
obtained permission to use the material. Therefore, we often cannot
remove listings based on the representations of third parties whose
credentials we cannot verify.

We do understand the potential for further issues in this type of
situation. That is why, if you feel strongly about this issue, we
recommend that you contact the owner of the images or text, and
recommend that they contact us directly. Once we hear from them, we
will take appropriate action.

For more information on this subject, please look at:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/community...nd-images.html

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.

Regards,

Claude

glass half full or empty

Ok, so Ebay is saying "you must prove that the images are being missused by having the content owner email Ebay". Tiddy is saying (i think) "you (Ebay and alleged dumbo seller) do not have permission based on not having a exhibited evidence showing there is permission to post the image from the content owner".

This type of problem in legal terms is called a "tort". Is a form of theft. In order to take the image the, alleged dumbo, seller needed to save the image (theft).

The images use and ownership is spelled out in http://www.bitlaw.com/copyright/scope.html.

Here's my example of an email to Ebay. (no i didn't send it)

Ebay,

I am compelled to request the removal of all or in any form image http://i8.ebayimg.com/03/i/02/4a/16/a6_2.JPG which was removed without authorization from http://members.shaw.ca/sizzlechest/92toyota.jpg. The seller has been notified on two occassions in the past months demanding the immediate stop of any and all use of 92 Toyota pickup images.

Further, Ebay has been notified this week of such a violation. Therefore you are required to remove any images per U.S. Copyright Act.

Any further use of the for mentioned image may be a recorse for a civil litigation.

I was thinking that all ebay was telling me was that since I am not the owner of said vehicle, they can't pull it auction based on my 3rd party request. However if sizzlechest were to contact them, they would. I'd also have to assume that they would require some sort of proof of ownership, otherwise I should have just said it was my truck!
